? A flowchart by Mager & Pipe (1984 !) is featured in all ROEM trainings. The flow chart focuses on determining whether training is an appropriate option for a performance problem, which must be a first question before any learning activity can even be spoken of. The tool is also useful as a general guide for selecting other options that are not training.
The added value of the tool are the guiding questions that can guide you through each decision point.

? Formulating SMART goals is often a difficult and time-consuming task. Many people therefore find it daunting. For that reason we developed a (much) simpler step-by-step plan to formulate goals in a 'measurable' way. Only available in Dutch.
? This checklist can be used by both the N+1 and the L&D manager of the organization and provides ’checks' before, during and after the learning activity. Only available in Dutch.
? A learning question often comes to a trainer or L&D department from the business. They see learning as a way to achieve organizational goals. These goals are formulated by directors and department heads, often in terms of performance indicators. But in the end, 'learning' has to take place, and translating those organizational goals into learning objectives is not that simple, but it can definitely be done.
Through this signpost we want to make the water between the directors/department heads of organizations and learning professionals less deep. After all, each has his competence; it is just a matter of 'understanding' each other. Only available in Dutch.

? A great deal has been written about question(naire) drafting. Not all researchers agree, but if you follow this checklist, you are definitely on the right track.
A dry-run ultimately helps you to be sure that your questionnaire provides an answer to what you want to know : 'keep the end in mind'. Only available in Dutch.
